| Dear Colleagues
I would like to personally invite you to attend
the 16th Annual Congress of the Asian Society
for Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery. This
will be held in Singapore from 14 to 16 March
2008.
This has become the single most important cardiothoracic
meeting in Asia over the past few years. It is
in fact a rather intimate meeting where participants
develop long lasting friendships.
The American Association for Thoracic Surgery
will join the meeting this year to conduct a one
day postgraduate course. The instructors include
Joseph Bavaria, Tirone David, Richard Jonas, Irving
Kron, Hartzell Schaff and Craig Smith on topics
ranging from congenital heart, aortic, valve and
coronary surgery.
In addition to the main meeting which focuses
on patient safety in era of modern technology,
we are organizing a Hemodynamic Workshop, Endovascular
Aortic Stenting Course, Minimally Invasive Thoracic
Workshop and a Nursing Symposium. We welcome submission
for presentation on topics you or your colleagues
are personally interested in.
Teaching faculties and participants are from
across Asia, Europe and America. It is an excellent
opportunity to meet especially the Asian cardiothoracic
fraternity.
